Do something new: The charity ActionAid showed that embracing diversity is about about changing board culture and existing structures and trying something new. Living your values (like ActionAid’s feminist principles) helps create sustainable change.
Highlight the impact: Remember that diversity isn’t just a vague ambition – it has tangible, transformative benefits. Boosting board diversity actively helped MindOut provide more accessible services, extend its work with migrants and refugees and develop a sustainable funding base.

Motion text https://edm.parliament.uk/early-day-motion/34909/channel-4-political-awards
That this House welcomes the Channel 4 political awards and the recognition they give to those involved in the political process for their achievements; recognises the opportunity for the public to take part in these awards by voting for the most inspiring political personality of the last decade; is deeply concerned, however, that the voting system allows individuals to vote as many times as they want; believes this process leaves the award open to abuse by interest groups seeking to promote a particular nominee; is surprised, given recent controversies over telephone voting systems and competitions, that Channel 4 should use a system potentially open to such abuse; and urges this House to be prepared to treat the result with caution in light of the voting process.

One of the benefits of attending a women in tech conference is that it can provide attendees with role models. Seeing successful women in tech can inspire other women to pursue careers in tech, and it can help them feel like they belong in the industry. Role models can also help show women that there are opportunities for them in the tech industry, and that they can be successful in it.
Being a role model for other companies to support women in tech is important too. By sponsoring a women in tech conference, you can set an example for other companies and show them that it's important to support women in the tech industry. This can help create more awareness of the issue of gender diversity in tech, and it can also help encourage other companies to support women in tech as well.
The Benefits of Sponsoring a Women in Tech Conference
Increasing your brand's visibility within the tech industry
When you sponsor a women in tech conference, your company's name and logo will be visible to all of the attendees. This can help increase your brand's visibility, and it can also help you reach new potential customers or clients. When you sponsor a women in tech conference, you're not only increasing your brand's visibility, but you're also building your brand. Sponsoring an event like this shows that you support and care about the women in tech community. If you're looking for a way to get your company's name out there and build your brand, sponsoring a women in tech conference is a great option.
Developing your company's reputation and attracting top talent to your company
By sponsoring a women in tech conference, you can help develop your company's reputation. Your company will be seen as supportive and inclusive for women in tech, and this can help attract new employees. In today's job market, more and more people are looking for companies that share their values. By sponsoring a women in tech conference, you can show potential employees that your company is the kind of place they would want to work. In addition, sponsoring an event like this can also help retain the talent that you already have. If your company is known for supporting women in tech, your female employees will be more likely to stay with your company and recommend it to others.
Supporting the women in tech community and the mission to increase diversity in tech
Finally, sponsoring a women in tech conference is a great way to support gender diversity in the tech industry. By supporting an event that promotes and celebrates women in tech, you're helping to create a more inclusive environment for everyone. This is not only good for the women in tech community, but it's also good for the tech industry as a whole.
WE ALL DESERVE SOME ACCOLADES - SO DO OUR BUSINESSES & INITIATVES !

Background
In 2022 women only held about 25% of the leadership positions in tech and only 14% of the software engineering positions. The ratio of women in tech is still very low compared to the overall workforce. Only slight progress has been made over the past 5 years. Gender equality is still far from reach in the tech industry and especially in the C-Suite.
To recognize and honor powerful women moving technology forward, we want to highlight some of the top technologists, innovators, and influential women holding leadership positions in the tech industry. These exceptional leaders set a precedent for future generations with their exemplary leadership within this ever-growing industry.
How did we compile the list?
WomenTech has put together the list of women in tech leaders to watch in 2023 based on nominations, direct applications, information from our database, interviews, company websites, and other public sources. The one thing that unites them all is their passion and resolve to make a difference in the tech world.
Want to see someone on the list? Nominate or Apply here. These inspiring women leaders are making waves in their respective fields, from artificial intelligence and augmented reality to blockchain and quantum computing. They are changing the world for the better and setting an example for other women in tech.

Women wear so many hats from day to day and we rarely take time to focus on our well-being. So, over the past four years, we have discovered, who we are, explored the mutual similarities and characteristics of other cultures, taken off our masks, refined who we were, and now we are taking time to identify ourselves the way God did in Genesis, Very Good. When He created everything else in this world He said it was good. But when He created man/woman, He said it was Very Good. Very good we are, and we shall be. Woman… I See You!!!
We would like to cordially invite you to our 2022 I Am Experience Women Conference. This year will be our 5th Annual Conference hosted by The Acquisitionist, Inc. The theme for this year’s conference is entitled, “Woman… I See You”, where we will focus on ourselves Mentally, Emotionally, Spiritually, and more. October 2, 2022, begins at 5:00 PM, and doors open at 4:30 PM

Be recognised for your hard work and celebrate your achievements
it’s not the trophies I talk about. It’s the connections that are made, the relationships that develop and the business collaborations that happen in the weeks after. I think we underestimate connection. Yet this is one of the most powerful aspects of business. The friends you make in your business journey are the reason you’ll keep going sometimes. They’re the ones that will help you see a solution when it seems as if there isn’t one. They’re the ones who’ll help you celebrate when things go well! They’re the ones who’ll help pick you up when things go badly. And they’re the ones who are always there to listen no matter what’s going on in your life.

The previously announced reality competition series is getting a makeover amid intense backlash. The five-week reality competition series had planned to have six activists from around the world compete to "bring meaningful change to one of three urgent universal causes: health, education and the environment."

The series was planned to be hosted by judges Julianne Hough, Usher and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who were set to measure the competitors’ success based on social media engagement through digital campaigns.

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, CBS announced that the show will now be retooled into a documentary special in response to the harsh criticism from activist communities on social media. It will also no longer premiere on Oct. 22 as scheduled.

"The Activist was designed to show a wide audience the passion, long hours, and ingenuity that activists put into changing the world, hopefully inspiring others to do the same," the network and producers Live Nation and Global Citizen said in a statement.

"However, it has become apparent the format of the show as announced distracts from the vital work these incredible activists do in their communities every day. The push for global change is not a competition and requires a global effort."

The updated docuseries will "showcase the tireless work of six activists and the impact they have advocating for causes they deeply believe in. Each activist will be awarded a cash grant for the organization of their choice, as was planned for the original show."the judging aspect of the show missed the mark and furthermore, that I am not qualified to act as a judge. …

"Activists and community leaders around the world work every day, often without fanfare, to advance protections for people, communities, and our planet," the statement concluded. "We hope that by showcasing their work we will inspire more people to become more involved in addressing the world's most pressing issues. We look forward to highlighting the mission and lives of each of these incredible people," read the statement.

Global Citizen also added in a separate statement, "Global activism centers on collaboration and cooperation, not competition. We apologize to the activists, hosts and the larger activist community — we got it wrong."
"It is our responsibility to use this platform in the most effective way to realize change and elevate the incredible activists dedicating their lives to progress all around the world."
A new airdate for the re-designed documentary special has not been announced yet.
The decision comes one day after Hough, 33, spoke out about criticism on Instagram, telling her followers that she was "deeply listening with an open heart and mind."
